Gnomon Character Design Class

I am taking a character design class taught by Flight Artists Kazu Kibuishi, Chris Applehans, and Khang Le. These are initial designs exploring characters for an adaptation of the Norwegian Folktale: East of the Sun, West of the Moon.

Hey Steve,
No offense taken. There are worse people to compare my work to. I remember Cory's Viking thing kinda vaguely, but I remember loving it. I hope it's not too close, but I definitely wasn't thinking about his stuff when I did it. The project was to adapt a Norwegian tale, so I did Viking stuff. I'd love to see some of Cory's stuff from that time though, in case I totally subconsciously ripped it. I definitely don't remember a bear.
